In addition, some companies or organizations that Operation Reality™ has acquired or partnered with have their own, preexisting privacy policies which may be viewed on their individual websites (eg. Google, PayPal, Facebook, etc.)
INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE
GENERAL
Operation Reality™ only indirectly collects or has access to personal information if our registered users willingly provide such information during the course of using or communicating through Operation Reality™ products and services. As a general policy, Operation Reality™ does not explicitly or purposely store or collect any individual personally identifiable information for any commercial purposes. In fact, the vast majority of personal information that is available to Operation Reality™ comes through third party organizations or partnered companies who’s services are linked or associated with Operation Reality™ and may forward personal information to us (eg. PayPal, Google, Facebook, etc.). It is important to note Operation Reality™ does not control these associated companies or organizations and you should therefore consult their own individual privacy policies on their respective sites for more information. Operation Reality™ does guarantee though that on its end, any personal information that is made available to us through such third party companies or organizations will be fully respected and kept entirely confidential and private in line with the privacy policy in question.
When you register and sign up for Operation Reality™ we may ask you to provide some basic information such as your name, email, location, age, personal interests/experiences etc. It is important to realize that some of these sign up areas for example through the Operation Reality™ forums are publicly accessible to registered forum accounts and thus essentially accessible by anyone who’s registered on our forums. Naturally you always have the option of contacting a member of the Operation Reality™ staff directly and registering and signing up through private more secure communications channels. If however you decide to post up any personal information in such publicly viewable sections Operation Reality™ cannot guarantee or offer any protection on said information nor will it be responsible for any misuse of such information by any third parties. This is why in such publicly accessible sections of our site(s) registered users are free to disclose as much or as little information as they are personally comfortable with. Operation Reality™ will only ever ask for very broad non-personally sensitive information that is reasonably necessary to participate in a given activity or promotion in line with recommended industry and governmental standards. Operation Reality™ also reserves the right to moderate and edit or move communications in such publicly accessible sections if we deem you’ve disclosed too much personally identifiable information, this is for your own personal safety and done to protect ill informed or potentially unaware individuals who might not understand the sensitive nature of online communications.
If under an exceptional circumstance Operation Reality™ ever requires specific personally identifiable information from a member for whatever reason (eg. real legal name (ie. non pseudo/online aliases), address, bank or PayPal information, telephone number, etc.) such official communication will be done through private and regulated non-public communication channels or through secure third party companies sites and services who are certified and abide by the Safe Harbor program developed and in effect by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Union.
While Operation Reality™ strives to do its best to protect all personal information voluntarily provided by our users, as anyone who understands the fast paced ever evolving world of online and software security understands we cannot fully and unconditionally guarantee that our systems are fail proof. This is why any personal information that Operation Reality™ deems overly sensitive or subject to abuse we will try our best to secure and if we’re unable to do so confidently we will do our best to remove from our systems in a timely manner or at the user’s request. This guarantee can only extend to communications with official members of the Operation Reality™ staff who are under the direct management and control of the Directors and owners.
Any personal information that a user of Operation Reality™ voluntarily gives out to another user of Operation Reality™ who is not a registered official certified member or employee of the staff whether in written or verbal communications through Operation Reality™ controlled systems or third party systems cannot be covered by this privacy policy. Therefore it is up to our users and members to be vigilant and discerning if ever asked by other non Operation Reality™ Staff members for any personal information, in fact we advise any such users to contact an official member of the staff to ask for advice if ever unsure on what information they should give out or to whom. If in doubt, don’t give the information out, this is your own individual responsibility and Operation Reality™ can only advise on safe practices even though we strive to vet and make sure all our users and members are not ill intentioned. Ultimately though, it is currently impossible for us to guarantee and thus Operation Reality™ cannot be held accountable for what information you give out to other users or members on our site(s).
